Mr Rand acknowledged both reports and assigned each a case reference number. On 25 February, after reviewing both reports, he informed me:
“My colleague in parliament will forward you [sic] submissions onto the appropriate person in MoD”
I had asked that the 9/11 terrorism financing report was forwarded to parliament’s Intelligence and Security Committee and the US embassy, and my procurement corruption report be forwarded to ‘all concerned government / parliamentary offices’. Despite Mr Rand saying he’d only forwarded both reports to the MoD (the perpetrator of the procurement corruption!) I accepted this in the belief that my reports had been formally forwarded to a government department by a member of parliament and that I could expect a formal response. Having had no response by 3 May 2025 I submitted a freedom of information request to Mr Rand asking for copies of all correspondence related to my submissions. Mr Rand replied on 9 May, saying:
“After reviewing the details of your cases… we do not believe
this is a matter appropriate for a constituency MP to intervene in”
- exposing his own previous lie that he would forward my reports to the MoD. Plus I didn't ask him to 'intervene' in anything - I only asked him pass my report on.
Conclusion
Within his first year in office Connor Rand MP has proved himself to be a corrupt liar willing to ignore reports of 9/11 terrorism financing in Britain and of MoD corruption that cost British and allied soldiers and marines their lives in Afghanistan. He isn’t the first person to ignore this criminal activity – I’ve been trying to report these and associated matters for over a decade now – but he is the first politician to refuse to take any action under the new Labour government.
Although perplex by commissioner for standards Mr Greenberg’s explanation that these matters don’t fall within his remit, I do accept that as being factually correct. What I don’t accept, given the gravity of both matters, is that such a senior parliamentarian does not consider it his public duty to ensure my reports are acted upon with the utmost urgency. That urgency stems from Britain’s imminent war footing against Russia despite knowing its soldiers will be sent into combat in non-task-worthy vehicles and my not knowing which music concert another terrorist may strike next – a terrorist that the British State will very likely already be aware of.
